What You Need To Know

• All general visits 5 years and older who provide proof of being fully vaccinated (2 doses) may resume visits. General visitors will be tested every visit, or the previous day if visiting two days in a row.  Proof of vaccination remains mandatory for all visitors. Children under 5 years old (no vaccination required) are permitted. 
• All designated essential caregivers will be tested at a minimum of 2 times per week
• All residents may have up to 4 designated caregivers.
• Exemptions regarding vaccination status will only be approved for palliative visits.
• Proof of third dose from essential caregivers is required by March 14, 2022.
• ALL visitors must call ahead to book an appointment between the hours of 8:00am & 6:00pm. Please be advised we are CLOSED between 1:30pm-2:30pm due to a high volume of traffic at the screening desk.
• All visitors are required to wear a mask once they have entered the home. Visitors are required to sanitize and change their mask upon entry and will be asked at screening desk. Supplies are located on PPE table at the Main Entrance, labelled Visitor PPE.
• Visitors must wear a mask for the duration of their visit.
• A maximum of 4 visitors per resident at a time for indoor visits
• If a resident is on contact/droplet isolation only one essential caregiver is permitted to visit at a time.
• Visits will be discontinued at Nipissing Manor’s discretion if visiting rules are not followed. e.g. essential caregiver not wearing their mask.
• Essential visitors are able leave the resident’s room and visit in common areas (i.e. TV lounges, dining rooms, attend activities and meals), but must maintain physical distancing to other residents.
• Visitors may visit outside of the residents room, but must follow all infection control guidelines.: Visitors must social distance from other residents and wear their mask at all times. 
• In the event that a resident is ill or palliative, any family member visiting would be deemed an essential visitor. It is not required of them to have a COVID-19 test, or be fully vaccinated, but must wear full PPE. Two visitors at a time, and if the resident is on isolation, only one visitor  will be permitted.
• Snack foods and drinks are permitted during the visit, ONLY for the resident you intend to visit. Please dispose of waste prior to leaving.
• Social day absences are permitted for residents regardless of vaccination status
• Overnight absences for social purposes are permitted for all residents. Testing and isolating protocols will be followed upon their return.
• All new visitors will be required to use the QR code as proof of vaccination. The QR code can be used digitally or by printing a paper copy.

Welcome to Nipissing Manor “A Special Place for Special People” At Nipissing Manor we provide a continuum of two levels of care. Long Term Care and Retirement Living. Our Long Term Care Home which is licensed and regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care provides accommodation for 87 residents. Our Retirement Home provides accommodation for 20 residents. Nipissing Manor has been providing Long Term Care since 1967. Nipissing Manor is a smoke-free environment.
